Julian A Bremner
I have been practicing as a family lawyer for over 30(ish) years and am also an IFLA qualified Financial Arbitrator. I am based in London and whilst I am very experienced in all areas of family law, I am particularly focused on more complex family law issues in children’s law (internal & external relocation, Parental Alienation) and a keen interest medium to high value financial matrimonial cases.
My approach is founded on sensible, practical and strategic advice designed to obtain a swift, workable settlement. As an arbitrator, working with other professionals as well as parties representing themselves, I also aim to assist both parties to come to a swift and pragmatic solution that also allows them to get on with their lives. I endeavour to avoid court if I can and prefer to come to a solution using out of court settlement options (NCDR) which I find quicker, cheaper and way more user friendly.
I am very aware of the detrimental impact of divorce and separation and am committed to supporting my clients with their wellbeing throughout their case. I have found that the emotional toll can be particularly difficult for some clients to discuss so have developed the Man Mind Journey Planner, a bespoke tool specifically designed for men to help them deal with the impact that divorce and separation can have on their mental health.
I am currently Chair of the Forum of Family Arbitrators as well as being a member of Resolution, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Institute of Family Law Arbitrators. Member of the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators.
